02.07.2003 - The Doc.
I just uploaded the VU Instruction Manual, originally by Bigboss, I did some additions and converted the whole thing into a PDF document.
Also I created a couple of DVD case covers for Naplink and Pukklink.
You can find it all in the PS2/Docs section.

04.05.2003 - New demo
I released a demo for the 1 year anniversary of The Third Creation demo contest, although I think few knew this was the anniversary. Its called Damn and it shows some of the progress I have made with ito, like my own SifRpc code and matrix/vector functions for 3D coded in Vu0. I will probably release the source for this demo as it very small (like 50 lines of actual demo code) for people starting out with 3D like myself. It will probably be a while before I release the new ito because with its current state there are alot of loose ends, but when I will finally release it, many great features will be included which will bring it fairly close to a very useful lib. You can grab the Demo in the PS2/Software section and see a small screen shot at The Third Creation

09.03.2003 - Wazzap
Thought I might post a little update to confirm that my site is very much alive and so is ito.
I been working on ito on and off for last few months, progress is good.
The GS part as you know it now has been completely rewritten for more speed ( I spent quite alot of time counting opcodes :) and I have been looking into IOP related matters, SIFRPC is on its way. Getting outside help and waiting for some code to be completed before I can move on and actually release ito 0.3.0, don't know any exact date - hopefully soon.
What also to expect is tutorial and full source to a simple game written with ito 0.3.0 shortly after it is released, I am hoping this will get some more people interested. Until then, keep checking this space for news - see ya.

28.09.2002 - ito 0.2.0 delayed
ito 0.2.0 will be delayed, as I will unable to finish it on time. ito 0.2.0 is now in the beta stages, clean up of source/examples/tools and the lib reference has to be done before release, this shouldn't take all that long, but I can't tell when I will be able to finish it. Here is an overview of what will be included in ito 0.2.0:

- Alpha Blending support w/ new tools
- CLUT4/RGBA16, CLUT4/RGBA32, CLUT8/RGBA16 & CLUT8/RGBA32 support
- Trianglestrip, Trianglefan, Linestrip also w/ texture support
- New version of all prim texture functions, accepts floats, for STQ mapping.
- Texture loading is now done by DMA Chain mode
- INTC Handler
- Memory copy in GS memory.
- Optimized prim packets, takes less space in specific modes.
- And more..

02.09.2002 - Site Sorted
Got my site moved to a new server, many thanks to TheGypsy / Nalpalm for yet again hosting my site. All things should now be working and continue to do so in the future.
As for ito, only a couple of major things are missing for ito 0.2.0, for which I have set the deadline/release date to october 1st, unless anything else gets mentioned in this space.

28.08.2002 - F*cked
I am aware of the fact that nothing which is Perl scripted works on my site, so I am getting my site moved sometime this week to another server and I will then also post an update on ito.

18.06.20002 - Cube Mastah ..
For the third time in a row, I am entering the #psx2dev mini compos which will also be known as "The Third Creation" compos. You can grab it in the PS2/Software section and (even though I don't know if I am allowed to post this yet) the new url for the compos is at www.thethirdcreation.net, the site is missing a submission url, but you can just send in your demo to blackdroid@wrathdesigns.net If you are wondering if I used Vector Units for the 3D or if there is being worked on a 3D api currently for ito, the answer to both questions is no, the 3D math is done by FPU and the 3D api will be worked on in the future.

Also basicly from today and until July 26th I will be away and therefor unable to answer email and work on anything, however after I get back, I will start work on ito 0.2.0 and this release will have support for CLUT, alpha blending, interrupt handlers, chained DMA mode and more, basicly completing the graphics part of ito and after that IOP related matters will be worked on, which will include support for joypad and file i/o to begin with, so keep watching this space for updates.
Jules

15.06.2002 - ito 0.1.2
New version of ito, this is basicly a fixed version of ito 0.1.0 but also comes with more examples and RGBA16 support. Please refer to changelog.txt for changes.

Final release of ito 0.1.0 can be grabbed in PS2/Software section, it comes with 92 page (PDF format) lib reference and also misc. docs and bugfixes from ito 0.1.0 beta.

Also to get started with ito I have written a 6 page tutorial in PDF format which can be grabbed from the PS2/Docs section.

31.05.2002 - By The Way, FiRE & ito
First of all, I have released the source for my "By The Way" demo which compiles with the beta of my lib ito which is also avaliable for download.

This beta which comes with no documentation and has one little bug which will hopefully be fixed for final version of ito 0.1.0 and also the final version will include documentation. Any suggestions or corrections can be posted at the this forum (many thanks to TheGypsy for setting this up for me). I recommend that any one who wants to start out with PS2 dev and is looking for a easy way to get started grab this lib.

Last, I created yet another (very) small demo named 'FiRE' for the second around of the #psx2dev compo. Deadline is June 1st 24:00 and entries can be downloaded from http://www.wrathdesigns.net/ps2/

Everything posted above is avaliable for download in PS2/Software section.

Duke, Blackdroid & Vzzrzzn didn't submit anything before the deadline, however Duke and Blackdroid will most likely release theirs for the second compo, for which the deadline is set to June 1st 24:00, so if you wish to enter you can email your entry to blackdroid@wrathdesgins.net

19.05.2002 - "By The Way" released
Here is my entry for the PS2 mini-compo (no prizes). People who are entering are, myself (Jules), adresd, Vzzrzzn, Blackdroid/Wrath Designs & Duke/Napalm. Results will be posted tomorrow.

Demo: By The Way - Download

The demo was created with my lib called ito, which I will be releasing a beta of soon. Some new bugs showed up while creating this demo which need to be fixed before release.
The lib is currently a simple 2D graphics library, but support for joypad, file I/O, etc. will follow. The goal of the lib is to make programming on PS2 simple and as you will see when I release the source for "By The Way" how simple it is to use.
