You dont need to switch the insides.
Just buy a new dc, and replace the new unit in the box with
your old one. No need to mess with the insides.
Take back the old one, get a refund, and walk away with a
brand new unit.
Or, if you insist on being right, buy a new one,
and sell the old one on Ebay, and say the buyer
could use it for parts.
