23rd May 2004 - Its alive..Mhahahahe
So many people have given up hope on xfactordev, saying its dead and not updated? And that some of the tutorials arn't hard enough. Well I don't want to do code dumps of games so people could just copy and paste sections of code and if they want to understand, would have to trudge through tons of messy wrapper classes...there's loads of that code already out there.

X-Factor Development is to help you on your way - to share code and make programming the xbox fun. Some of the tutorials are simple but they get you going...and then you can move on to looking at the weekly projects and possibly improving and updating the game-engine project. Updates will come soon! Sorry for delays and site problems. X-Factor Development will be around for a long long time. And if you have any questions or feedback and I'm not around...just post them on the forum or even pop in the channel on #EFnet, as there's always a happy and helping person who'll try and give you a hand. Happy Coding :)

22nd July 2003 - Well, bugger me, news hasn't been updated in a while

I've been a bit lax on the news and updating front, but I personally blame the coding. The chat room is always welcoming and ready to help anyone with development issues (No we will not help you find the XDK! (And surprisingly enough there is no !list))

If you check out the August '03 issue of Edge magazine in the UK (Issue 126) then on pages 65-66 you'll see a couple of quotes from me. I don't attempt to represent the scene, these are just my opinions, but it did get a nice link to us into Edge so I'm happy overall.

If you've got any ideas about what you'd like to see on the site or any suggestions or improvements that we could make then email me at webmaster@xfactordev.net. I'll usually reply within a day unless I'm away somewhere (but why the hell would I need to leave the computer?! Me a geek? Yes, and proud of it)

I've upload a snippet from the article which you can read here.

14th April 2003 - It could cause problems....

Have you heard anything about M$ moving the media check or something so new games don't work off the HD anymore?

Well its seems that MicroSoft is fighting hard to stop people creating backups of software by preventing them from running them from there hard drives in future.  Of course there are already methods of patching certails game xbe's to bypass this protection...read more at www.xbox-scene.com
